Junior Cybersecurity & IT Support Engineer (Remote, Contract, Growth Opportunity)

Job Description:

We are a growing IT consulting and cybersecurity firm seeking a Junior Cybersecurity & IT Support Engineer to support our expanding client base.

This is a contract role (part-time to start) with the opportunity for ongoing work as we scale.

You will work directly with our senior engineer and leadership team, gaining hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist with endpoint security deployments (EDR, antivirus, patching)

• Support vulnerability scans and basic remediation tasks

• Help monitor systems and respond to alerts

• Assist with Microsoft 365 security configurations

• Perform basic system troubleshooting (remote support)

• Work with tools such as NinjaOne, Bitdefender GravityZone, and Sherweb

• Document work and maintain clear records

• Follow security best practices and internal processes

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field

• 1–3 years of experience in IT support or cybersecurity

• Basic understanding of:

Endpoint security (EDR/antivirus)

Networking fundamentals

Windows environments

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365

• Exposure to RMM or security tools (any platform)

• Strong willingness to learn and grow

• Exposure to or experience with:

NinjaOne

Bitdefender GravityZone

Sherweb

• Certifications such as:

CompTIA Security+

Network+

Microsoft Fundamentals (MS-900, AZ-900)
