Network and Community Lead
Job Description
The Network & Community Lead will be responsible for building and managing Youth+ Africa's community infrastructure across digital and physical platforms. This role will develop strategies that engage founders, creators, students, mentors, partners, and ecosystem leaders while creating meaningful pathways to opportunities, collaboration, mentorship, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
β’ Develop and execute Youth+ Africa's community growth and engagement strategy.
β’ Build and nurture a thriving network of founders, creators, students, mentors, partners, and ambassadors.
β’ Design member journeys that move individuals from first engagement to active participation and leadership.
β’ Lead member onboarding, engagement, retention, and community activation initiatives.
β’ Convert event participants into long-term community members through structured engagement programs.
β’ Design and coordinate community programs, workshops, founder circles, networking sessions, and mentorship initiatives.
β’ Build and manage mentor, facilitator, and expert networks across key sectors.
β’ Collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful partner-backed programs and community experiences.
β’ Monitor community performance through data, insights, and reporting to improve engagement and outcomes.
β’ Foster an inclusive, safe, and trusted community environment that reflects Youth+ Africa's values.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Communications, Community Development, Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
β’ 4+ years of experience in community management, ecosystem building, program management, partnerships, or stakeholder engagement.
β’ Demonstrated experience building and managing professional or entrepreneurial communities.
β’ Strong project management and organizational skills.
β’ Excellent relationship-building, communication, and facilitation abilities.
β’ Experience working with startups, innovation ecosystems, youth-focused organizations, universities, or development programs is an added advantage.
β’ Strong analytical skills with experience using community data to drive engagement and decision-making.
β’ Self-driven, collaborative, and passionate about youth development and entrepreneurship.
