Our first project is in Nairobi.
Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support performance monitoring, operational improvement, and data-driven decision-making across UAP's Kenya subsidiary, NBST Management Limited. This role is based in Nairobi and will focus primarily on supporting NBST and project-level operations. The Analyst will play a key role in building performance visibility, strengthening internal systems, and supporting the scaling of operations across the Kenya portfolio. The role is suited to an analytically strong operator with experience in performance tracking, operations, or consulting, and a strong interest in real estate and platform businesses.
Responsibilities
1) Financial performance monitoring
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards tracking key operational and commercial KPIs across NBST’s departments and projects.
• Work with department leads to define and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organisational objectives.
• Consolidate operational data from internal teams into structured monthly management reports.
• Monitor performance trends across projects and identify operational risks, inefficiencies, or emerging issues.
• Ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of operational data used in internal reporting.
• Work alongside the Finance team to ensure operational metrics are appropriately aligned with financial reporting frameworks.
2) Operational process improvement
• Map and analyse workflows across departments to identify inefficiencies and operational bottlenecks.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
• Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and reporting templates.
• Identify cross-team coordination gaps and flag operational risks to management.
• Assist in the design and implementation of internal operating systems and reporting structures that support NBST’s growth.
3) Data infrastructure
• Support the rollout and optimisation of internal digital systems, including CRM platforms, tenant management systems, booking platforms, and reporting dashboards.
• Ensure data captured across internal systems is structured, consistent, and usable for analysis and reporting.
• Work with teams to improve data collection practices and reporting processes.
• Guide internal teams on the effective use of dashboards and reporting tools.
4) Strategic analysis
• Support the evaluation of potential partnerships, programs, and commercial initiatives through structured analysis of opportunity size, risks, and operational requirements.
• Conduct market research, feasibility analysis, and operational assessments as requested by leadership.
• Assist in preparing analytical briefs, internal reports, and decision-support materials for management.
• Provide analytical support for key company initiatives and special projects.
5) Sustainability support
• Work with the development team to coordinate internal data required for EDGE certification and other sustainability initiatives.
• Support the sustainability consultant in tracking energy, water, and waste performance metrics.
• Assist in preparing sustainability updates for management, investors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field, with a Master’s degree considered an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, real estate services, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data visualisation, and performance tracking tools.
• Experience working with data systems, dashboards, and operational reporting frameworks.
• Ability to structure problems, generate insights, and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, consultants, and external partners.
• Strong interest in urban development, real estate, and platform businesses.
• Team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
