Zedek is inviting new board members

Zedek is a Kenyan fintech platform transforming how informal savings groups (Chamas) and individuals manage their money — governed Table Banking, digital Merry-Go-Round (ROSCA) management, Wekeza Goals (savings with 10–15% annual interest), Kopeshana peer-to-peer lending, an Expense Tracker, and a Wallet built on M-Pesa. We're pre-revenue, but chamas are already active on the platform and new users keep signing up organically — even with minimal marketing and no formal bank or fund manager partnerships yet.

We're now building out our board as part of meeting CMA licensing requirements, which call for an inclusive, well-rounded board — and we're using this as a chance to bring in people who can genuinely move the company forward.

We're open to expertise in any of these areas — Finance & Financial Management, Investments & Wealth Management, Business Development & Partnerships, or Marketing, Brand & Growth — but frankly, the title matters less than what you bring. Our real priority is people who can:
• Open doors — to investors, partners, institutions, or networks we don't yet have access to
• Actively help us raise capital
• Challenge our thinking and sharpen our strategy as we scale

This is a board seat, not a job: you'd join as a shareholder, compensated through equity, not salary.
