Reporting to: Angela Kinyua, Managing Director, East Africa
Montgomery Group Africa (Kenya) is seeking an ambitious and highly driven Exhibition Sales Executive to support the launch of a new industrial B2B exhibition serving East Africa’s manufacturing and industrial sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys opening new markets, winning new business and building long-term client relationships.
The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing a brand-new exhibition to market by recruiting exhibitors across East Africa and internationally.
This is initially a six-month fixed-term contract. Subject to the successful achievement of agreed commercial milestones, there is a strong opportunity for the role to become permanent within Montgomery Group Africa (Kenya).
Key Responsibilities
• Generate new exhibitor sales through proactive outbound business development.
• Identify, qualify and engage prospective exhibitors across the mining, agro-processing and industrial technology sectors.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking and referrals.
• Conduct virtual and face-to-face sales meetings with prospective exhibitors across East Africa and internationally.
• Present the exhibition’s value proposition and negotiate participation through to contract signature.
• Consistently achieve weekly activity targets, including calls, meetings, proposals and signed contracts.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and pipeline information using HubSpot CRM.
• Work closely with the marketing team to maximise campaign responses and convert enquiries into exhibitors.
• Attend industry events, association meetings and networking functions to generate new business opportunities.
• Provide regular market intelligence, competitor insights and customer feedback to support the successful launch of the exhibition.
• Contribute to achieving agreed Go/No-Go commercial milestones for the event.

• A proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience selling high-value products or services.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using CRM systems.

• Experience in exhibition sales.
