DIRECTOR RESOURCE MOBILIZATION & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
Job Description
Every hour you spend raising the right funding is an hour closer to someone surviving the worst night of their life.
ResQ247 has built the digital backbone for emergency response across Africa — and we're raising the capital to scale two missions where speed and coordination decide whether people live, recover, or fall through the cracks.
Gender-based violence rescue.
A coordinated digital platform that connects survivors to safe response, case management, and follow-through — so a call for help doesn't vanish into a broken referral chain. The need is acute: roughly 40% of Kenyan women have experienced intimate-partner violence, and on average one woman is killed every day. As donor programs that once funded this work are pulled back, the gap is widening — and it needs new capital behind smarter systems.
Road accident rescue and prevention.
Faster dispatch, better coordination, and data that helps stop the next crash. 2025 was Kenya's deadliest year on record — over 5,000 lives lost — and road crashes drain an estimated 3–5% of national GDP. Most of it is preventable with the right response infrastructure.
We're looking for one person to own the funding strategy behind this. Not a generalist. Someone who knows how impact capital actually moves.
What you'll do
• Build and run our funding pipeline across grants, donors, foundations, development agencies, and impact investors focused on health, safety, and gender.
• Source and engage angel investors, VCs, family offices, and strategic partners aligned with emergency-response and social-impact innovation.
• Write the proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and investment memoranda that turn a mission into a funded program.
• Forge partnerships with government, hospitals, NGOs, and private-sector players who can extend our reach.
• Represent ResQ247 where the funders are — forums, conferences, investor rooms — and bring opportunities back.
• You're likely a fit if you've done some of this before
• Mobilized real money — grants won, rounds closed, donor relationships built and kept.
• Worked in development finance, impact investing, NGO partnerships, or startup fundraising.
• Can write a proposal that survives a review committee and pitch a room that controls a budget.
• Already hold relationships with funders, donors, or investors in this space. (This is the single biggest advantage you can bring).
Be clear-eyed about what this is
This isn't a salaried desk job. It's a founding partnership for someone who wants ownership in something that matters , Someone passionate about saving lives and rewriting the rules of engagement in emergency rescues in a world that still uses II world war technologies to manage /coordinating emergencies.
• Attractive, success-based commission on what you raise
• Revenue-sharing as we grow
• A genuine leadership seat at a defining stage
• A path to equity, earned through contribution and performance
• Direct, visible impact on systems that save lives
If you need a fixed paycheck and a defined lane, this won't suit you. If you want to build the funding engine for one of the most consequential health-tech missions on the continent — and share in what it becomes — we should talk.
Location: Flexible (Kenya & East Africa focus)
