: Human Resources Intern (Nairobi)
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to support the HR Department in recruitment, payroll support, employee records management, and general HR administration. The role offers practical exposure to core HR operations in a dynamic work environment.
π Key Responsibilities
β’ Support recruitment and selection processes including job advertising, shortlisting, and interview scheduling
β’ Assist in onboarding and induction of new employees
β’ Maintain and update employee records and HR databases (manual and electronic systems)
β’ Support payroll preparation by analyzing attendance, overtime, and normal working hours for reporting and approval
β’ Assist in staff wage preparation as guided by the HR Manager (mid-month and end-month)
β’ Manage employee leave records, ensuring proper tracking, approval flow, and issuance of approved leave forms
β’ Assist in opening, organizing, and maintaining employee files upon engagement and updating records during employment lifecycle
β’ Support exit administration by preparing employee documentation for final dues processing upon resignation or termination
β’ Assist in statutory compliance documentation and HR reporting
β’ Participate in HR projects and employee engagement activities
β’ Prepare daily HR departmental activity reports
β’ Provide general administrative support to the HR Department
β’ Contribute innovative ideas to improve HR processes and efficiency
π Requirements
β’ Diploma or Bachelorβs Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
β’ Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
β’ Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
β’ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
β’ Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines
