Private Chef - MD's Residence

We’re hiring a Private Chef for our Managing Director, and this is not your typical kitchen role.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on precision, cleanliness, and discipline, with the ability to deliver consistently well-executed meals, maintain a spotless kitchen, and operate with zero wastage.

Role Details:

📍 Based at the MD’s residence (live-in, Monday–Saturday)

⏰ Off duty: Saturday 6:00 PM | Resume: Sunday before 6:00 PM

👔 Full uniform required at all times while on duty

💰 Salary: KES 25,000

Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve meals to the MD, his family, and guests, ensuring consistency and high standards at all times
• Execute meals to exact specifications, with a strong focus on well-done preparation
• Plan daily meals based on preferences, ensuring variety while maintaining quality and precision
• Maintain strict kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times
• Practice portion control by cooking only what is required, ensuring minimal to zero food wastage
• Manage kitchen inventory, including grocery planning, proper storage, and stock control
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time, aligned with the MD’s schedule
• Maintain a clean-as-you-go approach, leaving the kitchen spotless after every use
• Uphold a professional appearance, including wearing uniform at all times while on duty
• Handle kitchen equipment with care and ensure proper maintenance
• Remain flexible and responsive to changes, including accommodating guests and special requests

Qualifications
• Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts / Food Production from a recognized institution
• Proven experience as a Private Chef / Personal Chef / Cook in a private household
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of cleanliness and kitchen organization
• Experience in portion control and waste minimization
• Ability to follow instructions with precision and consistency
• Good time management and ability to work within a structured schedule
• Professional, disciplined, and trustworthy with a high level of discretion

This role is best suited for a chef who is structured, detail-oriented, and takes pride in doing things right the first time, every time.
