Weekly Webinar Host Needed
Job Description
We're hiring a dedicated host for our weekly live webinar, "How to start a technology company." 12-week series, every Tuesday at 11:00 AM PT / 6:00 PM GMT, already underway. You'll be the face of the session and the person making sure it runs smoothly behind the scenes.
The role (~3 hrs/week):
- Tuesday live session (~1.5 hrs): open the room, icebreaker, hand off to presenter, technical host throughout, close the session, post the recording to Slack
- 30-min team dry run earlier in the week
- Light Slack coordination between sessions
What the session looks like (ROUGH, WE CAN BUILD):
- 10:30–11:00 AM PT: internal dry run, A/V check
- 11:00–11:05 AM PT: open Zoom, admit attendees, start recording, play pre-roll video, warm up the room with a live icebreaker
- 11:05 AM PT: hand off to the presenter (Tim)
- Throughout main session: manage co-host permissions, hide non-video participants, keep things running
- End: return on camera to close — thank attendees, signpost replay / office hours / next week
- After: post recording link in our Slack channel for post-production
Must-haves:
- Proven experience hosting Zoom webinars, live events, or panels (please share a clip)
- Zoom-fluent: host controls, co-host, recording, waiting room
- Warm, confident on-camera presence — able to make strangers feel at ease quickly
- Reliable internet and a quiet setup
- Available every Tuesday 10:30 AM–12:30 PM PT without exception
Nice-to-have:
- Startup or tech background
- Experience with Gamma, Canva, or GoHighLevel
