Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Cisco UCS / VMware Infrastructure Consultant
to support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives. This is a consulting role focused on assessing, designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing VMware and Cisco UCS environments while assisting clients with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and best practices.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in VMware virtualization, Cisco UCS infrastructure, enterprise storage, and networking, with the ability to solve complex infrastructure challenges and provide strategic technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of enterprise VMware and Cisco UCS environments.

• Design, implement, and optimize VMware vSphere infrastructure.

• Install, configure, and upgrade Cisco UCS firmware and infrastructure components.

• Plan and execute ESXi host lifecycle management, upgrades, and migrations.

• Design, build, and maintain VMware clusters, including HA, DRS, and Disaster Recovery (DR) clusters.

• Troubleshoot complex virtualization, storage, networking, and infrastructure issues.

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to improve performance, scalability, and availability.

• Configure and support NetApp NFS storage integrations with VMware environments.

• Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.

• Provide technical recommendations and best practices for enterprise virtualization environments.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco UCS Infrastructure

• Cisco UCS firmware upgrades and lifecycle management

• VMware vSphere administration and architecture

• ESXi host deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting

• VMware Cluster Design (HA, DRS, vMotion)

• Disaster Recovery (DR) Cluster design and implementation

• NetApp Storage (NFS)

• Enterprise Networking fundamentals (VLANs, Switching, Routing, TCP/IP)

• VMware vSphere Licensing and Capacity Planning

• Performance tuning and infrastructure optimization

• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise data center infrastructure

• VMware VCP certification preferred

• Cisco UCS or Cisco Data Center certifications are a plus

• Experience with infrastructure migrations and modernization projects

• Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills
