Licensed South Carolina NP – Obesity Medicine (Telehealth)
Job Description
Remote | Per-Patient Compensation | High-Efficiency Clinical Role
Read This First (Who This Role Is For)
This is not a traditional telehealth job.
There are no routine video visits, no 20-minute patient encounters, and no prolonged care coordination.
This role is designed for Nurse Practitioners who:
• Think quickly and independently
• Are comfortable making decisions from structured clinical data
• Prefer efficiency over long patient interactions
• Thrive in a high-volume, protocol-driven environment
If you enjoy long-form patient conversations or need real-time interaction to feel comfortable clinically, this will not be a good fit.
The Model
We operate a direct-to-consumer, asynchronous telehealth platform for weight management.
• Patients enroll online
• Complete a structured medical intake
• Are matched with an NP licensed in their state
• You review, decide, prescribe (if appropriate), and message
Care is delivered primarily through:
• Chart review
• Clinical decision-making
• Secure asynchronous messaging
Escalation to synchronous care is rare and only when clinically necessary.
What You’ll Do
• Review patient-submitted histories, medications, and risk profiles
• Determine eligibility for pharmacologic weight loss therapy
• Prescribe GLP-1s and other evidence-based treatments when appropriate
• Provide clear, concise patient instructions via messaging
• Order and interpret labs when indicated
• Conduct asynchronous follow-ups and dose adjustments
• Identify red flags and triage appropriately
• Document clearly and maintain audit-ready charts
Compensation (Transparent & Performance-Based)
This is a per-patient model designed for scalability and flexibility.
• New Patient Evaluation: $8 per completed case (essentially will take 10 seconds)
• High-efficiency clinicians can comfortably complete numerous cases per hour
Typical range:
• $x/hour equivalent, depending on speed and volume
No unpaid administrative time. You are compensated for completed clinical work.
What Success Looks Like
• You can efficiently review a case and make a decision in 10 seconds
• Your documentation is tight, defensible, and consistent
• You’re comfortable saying “not appropriate” when needed
• You manage volume without sacrificing safety
Requirements
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Carolina (required)
• Experience in primary care, obesity medicine, or metabolic health
• Comfort with GLP-1 therapies and weight management pharmacology
• Ability to practice in a protocol-driven, asynchronous model
• Have your own malpractice insurance
This Role Is NOT For
• NPs who prefer traditional clinic-style visits or do not already have their own collaborating physician
• Those uncomfortable making decisions without real-time interaction
• Clinicians who require extensive supervision or slow workflows
Why This Role Works
• Fully remote, true schedule flexibility
• No video fatigue, no back-to-back visits
• Focus on clinical decision-making, not logistics
• Scalable income tied directly to productivity
Final Thought
If you’re the kind of clinician who reads a chart, knows the answer quickly, and wants to move on to the next case—you’ll love this role.
If not, you won’t.
