Job OverviewJubilee Asset Management Limited (JAML), a fully owned subsidiary of Jubilee Holdings Limited, specializes in fund management and investment advisory services for retail and institutional clients. Licensed and regulated by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA), JAML is seeking a Head of Retail Business to lead growth in the retail distribution segment. Reporting to the General Manager – Business Development, this role is based at the Head Office in Nairobi.The Head of Retail Business will develop and implement sales strategies to increase uptake of Unit Trusts, Retail Investment Products, and Wealth Management Solutions via Dedicated Financial Advisors (DFAs) and Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs). The role focuses on enhancing intermediary networks, optimizing sales performance, driving productivity, supporting client retention, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead retail client acquisition for Unit Trusts and Wealth Management solutions through DFA and IFA channels.Manage end-to-end sales cycles including prospecting and conversion across intermediaries.Provide strategic oversight of distribution channels, including recruitment and productivity of DFAs.Implement structured sales routines such as pipeline reviews, lead tracking, and performance dashboards.Collaborate with Fund Services, Operations, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate client transactions.Champion retail client education through product demonstrations, financial literacy, and onboarding support.Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives across retail investment products.Resolve client escalations within agreed service standards.Develop and execute retail distribution strategies aligned with business growth objectives.Identify and pursue new retail business opportunities.Utilize market intelligence and competitor insights to refine go-to-market strategies and product positioning.Provide input on product development, pricing, and customer value propositions.Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns to enhance visibility and conversion.Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance planning for retail segment.Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and customer experience.Lead portfolio growth through partnerships and new distribution initiatives.Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, Data Protection, CMA, RBA, and internal policies.Identify and escalate emerging risks in retail distribution channels.Maintain accurate documentation and oversee contract management for agents and partners.Lead responses to audits, regulatory inspections, and due diligence.Monitor sales practices to prevent mis-selling and enforce ethical conduct.Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.Prepare and submit performance, compliance, and management reports.Promote alignment with Jubilee’s values and governance principles.Participate in cross-functional projects to foster collaboration and innovation.Manage, mentor, and develop business development teams.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.Master’s Degree is an advantage.Professional qualifications such as CISI, CFA (Level I or above), or ICPAK/CIMA are beneficial.10-15 years’ experience in financial services with strong retail distribution, wealth management, or Unit Trust sales exposure.At least 5 years in a managerial role with proven leadership in managing and scaling distribution channels.Demonstrated success in driving retail business growth and channel performance.Strong networks within the retail investment ecosystem.Deep understanding of the Kenyan financial services market, regulatory environment, and industry trends.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.Proficiency in CRM systems and sales performance tools.Customer-centric decision-making and high ethical standards.How to ApplyQualified candidates should apply by sending their application to Recruitment@jubileekenya.com quoting the Job Reference Number JAML083 and Position by Wednesday, 27th May 2026.
