Lead Experience Engineer

Job OverviewJubilee Asset Management Limited (JAML), a subsidiary of Jubilee Holdings Limited and a leading fund manager regulated by the Capital Markets Authority and Retirement Benefits Authority, is seeking a Lead Experience Engineer. Based in Nairobi and reporting to the Head of Digital Engineering and Innovation, this role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge digital products and client portals that enhance premium customer experiences, particularly for high-net-worth clients.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop innovative digital features and customer-facing platforms ensuring usability, scalability, and performance.Lead front-end and back-end design, enforce coding standards, and oversee engineering patterns within the team.Ensure secure API design, authentication, authorization, and compliance with cybersecurity protocols.Collaborate with Product, UX, and Business teams to optimize client journeys and implement UX best practices.Manage code reviews, testing coverage, and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements for efficient deployments.Lead incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize defects.Provide technical leadership aligning engineering efforts with product roadmaps and business strategies.Promote secure-by-design principles, modern architecture, and DevSecOps practices.Mentor and manage technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.Participate actively in cross-functional projects, support skills development, and uphold company values.Ensure compliance with governance, cybersecurity frameworks, and maintain thorough documentation for audits.Requirements5 to 7 years of experience in software development, full-stack engineering, or digital product engineering.Proven experience delivering customer-facing digital platforms or portals.Hands-on expertise in application architecture, design, and conducting code reviews.Experience collaborating with UX/UI teams to create premium client experiences.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern DevSecOps methodologies.Experience managing production incidents and performing root cause analysis for complex systems.Strong technical leadership, excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and a quality-first mindset.How to ApplyQualified candidates should apply by sending their application to Recruitment@jubileekenya.com quoting the Job Reference Number JAML080 and the position title.
