Role Description
This is a full-time remote contract role for a Programme & Operations Officer at foundation stage. The Officer will build and maintain ICRI's internal operational systems, coordinate board governance, drive the institutional fundraising and partnerships pipeline, and support field programme coordination across ICRI's active geographies. The role requires initiative, systems thinking, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision in a lean, mission-driven founding team environment.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in international development, environmental governance, public administration, social sciences, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is an asset.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in NGO programme coordination, operations, or international development
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 SharePoint, Teams, Planner, and Excel
Demonstrated experience supporting donor relations, grant research, or institutional partnership development
Strong written and oral communication skills in English at a professional institutional level
Familiarity with CBD, Nagoya Protocol, KMGBF, DSI, or BBNJ frameworks is desirable
Experience working with Indigenous peoples, local communities, or community-based natural resource management is desirable
Self-directed, systems-minded, and comfortable operating in a founding-stage organisation
