About Finlanza

Finlanza Limited is a Business Systems Architecture Firm. We design and implement end-to-end business systems on Zoho across East Africa. We are building DataBridge — our proprietary data migration automation product — and this role sits at the heart of that build.

What you will do
• Work through accounting data migrations under supervision — extract, clean, transform, and validate financial data
• Learn and work with Zoho Books, Zoho Creator, and DataBridge migration workflows
• Write and adapt Python scripts for data extraction and transformation tasks
• Validate migrated data against source trial balances — accuracy is non-negotiable
• Document migration patterns and edge cases to feed into the DataBridge product roadmap

Requirements

What we need from you
• Accounting foundations — CPA Part 1, ACCA Foundation, or equivalent. You understand double-entry, trial balances, and why AR and AP behave differently
• Python — you have written scripts that process real data, not just completed courses
• SQL — basic querying ability: SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY
• Obsessive attention to detail — you re-check your own work before declaring it done

About the role

This is an entry-level role built for someone with accounting grounding and data curiosity. You will start by executing supervised migrations from QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage into Zoho Books — and as you master our systems, you will progress to Data Engineer and contribute directly to DataBridge product development.

Associate Data Engineer → Data Engineer → Senior Data Engineer → Head of Data. This progression is tied to Zoho proficiency, delivery quality, and DataBridge contributions — not years of service alone.
